A Collective is a Creative Health and Wellbeing non-profit based in Croydon, run by and for autistic and similarly neurodivergent people without learning (intellectual) disability. We support good mental health through participatory arts projects, healing conversations and co-produced community.

Archipelago: a free creative workshop for autistic and similarly neurodivergent people without learning (intellectual) disability, aged 18+

<h3>Archipelago</h3><h4>Imagine an island of your own - a personal eco-system of your likes, wants and needs - what would it be like?</h4>Our friendly and inclusive 'Chill, Chat, Create' sessions are for autistic, AuDHD and ADHD people and those with similar neurodivergences, like dyslexia and dyspraxia. You do not need a formal diagnosis; self-diagnosis or 'still working it out' is always acceptable in our spaces.Sessions are led by members of A Collective, autistic and AuDHD artists and creatives; we are queer- and trans-affirming and anti-racist. You do not need any creative experience, come as you are, it’s a relaxed shared space to enjoy however suits you.Do as much or as little as you want to: create your island, in words or pictures or both, or hang out with us and other neurodivergent people like you and enjoy the conversation.Then, if you choose, you can add your island to our shared archipelago of special interests, ideal environments and joy. Our archipelago will be hosted online on a Miro board, allowing you to visit, find connection and leave greetings for other participants via “messages in bottles”.Please note that our workshops are not suitable for people with medium to high support needs who cannot participate independently of a parent/carer or support worker.<h4>In-Person Session:</h4>Our in-person workshops are relaxed sessions, up to 3 hours long; leave and rejoin when you choose.We'll be at Matthews Yard, central Croydon: <a href="https://what3words.com/moon.deeply.host" title="https://what3words.com/moon.deeply.host" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://what3words.com/moon.deeply.host</a>The cafe will be open for hot and cold drinks and snacks, but please bring your own food and drinks if that makes you more comfortable. There will be a quiet space.You'll get a resource pack of prompts and suggestions, and we'll supply all the other materials you need.
