What is the set up of the open mic?

Accepted Answer

When everyone who has booked on arrives for the event, we will begin with an introduction and poetry from your host. There will be 8 slots in the first half for performers and then a 10/15 minute break, followed by another 8 slots in the second half. The event itself will finish around 9pm GMT.

Question 2

How will spaces be allocated?

Accepted Answer

Donation spaces will have priority on the open mic and then spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis on the evening.

What content is acceptable?

Accepted Answer

The only content that will not be tolerated is hate speech and punching down of others. Any performances that require a content/trigger warning should be given at the start of the poem.

What type of performers do we accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept all different types of performances from poetry, musicians and story tellers. Think of this as your forum to show us what you are made of creatively.

Question 5

Will the open mic be recorded?

Accepted Answer

Open mics will not be recorded unless the permission of the performer is given and this will only be done for marketing purposes for the event.
