In this session, Technologist Clare Dillon uncovers some thought-provoking examples of AI "fails".  </p><p>She will also share practical tips and insights into how to avoid the potential ethical pitfalls associated with building or buying AI applications. Alongside the many examples of AI powering successful digital transformations, there are many problematic scenarios where AI applications deliver biased decisions and discrimination. Such outcomes do not just break ethical norms but can have a considerable negative impact on organisations' employee relations, customer satisfaction and share price. </p>

Passionate about how technology is changing and shaping the world we live and work in, she regularly speaks on topics related to artificial intelligence, digital transformation and organisational change. </p><p>Before setting up her own consultancy business NuaWorks, Clare was a member of the Microsoft Ireland Leadership Team for over 8 years, heading up the Developer Evangelism organisation.
