Join us at a focus group to have the opportunity to be involved in the creation of a Net Zero brand in Peterborough.

Description: Are you passionate about creating a sustainable future for Peterborough? We want your input! Join us for an engaging and collaborative focus group to help shape a Net Zero Peterborough brand that resonates with our community. Your voice matters in creating a city that’s greener, cleaner, and more sustainable for everyone. As climate change remains one of the most critical challenges we face, it’s vital that our efforts to tackle it are clear, inclusive, and locally relevant.This session is a unique opportunity for local residents to share their ideas, provide feedback, and co-create a vision for a net zero future that benefits our community. Whether you’re a sustainability enthusiast or just beginning your journey, we value your thoughts!What to expect:<ul><li>Collaborative brainstorming and your opportunity to help design a brand that reflects our community’s values.</li><li>Food and drinks will be provided as a thank you for your contributions. </li><li>This event is family-friendly and we will be running an activity for children in the same space.</li></ul>Who is running the session?This session will be run by PECT, a local sustainability charity, and Peterborough City Council.------------------------------------------------------------------------The PANZ projectPeterborough City Council was recently awarded £2.75m funding from Innovate UK, Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to lead a scheme called Peterborough Accelerated Net Zero (PANZ), joining the Net Zero Living Pathfinders programme as one of the seven projects to receive the highest level of funding as Demonstrator projects.As part of the PANZ project, the council will work with communities and partners including Cambridgeshire County Council, Nordic Energy, Energy Systems Catapult, edenseven and PECT, to develop a series of Net Zero delivery plans.Peterborough was one of the first cities in the UK to adopt a Local Area Energy Plan which set out the pathway to reach net zero. It considered the current and future energy demands of heating, electricity and transport to predict what is likely to be required across low carbon heating, electricity network capacity and electricity generation.The project puts the community voice at its centre, ensuring that we listen to and understand the barriers and drivers for our residents.
