BLS Monitoring and Evaluating Public Engagement: Wellcome Trust ISSF3

Carl Smith is the Engagement Officer for the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences.Carl provides advice and guidance on all aspects of public engagement and the application process for Proof-of-Concept funding for the College Wellcome Trust ISSF3 award.Carl is a graduate of the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement’s (NCCPE’s) Engage Academy and has regular contact with the cohort and South and South West ISSF teams to identify best practice and shared experiences.

Our BLS Public Engagement Development Programme is open to anyone from the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences wishing to boost knowledge and skills in effective public engagement. 
The monitoring and evaluating public engagement course will introduce a range of methods and frameworks to guide public engagement activities and evidence outcomes.
The course will be delivered using Zoom and the interactive presentation tool Mentimeter. Mentimeter is an online web platform which will enable you to view slides and contribute to the session using a smartphone. As the presentation is web based, there is no need to download any Apps or other software.

Researchers applying for <A HREF="http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/colleges/biomedical-life-sciences/research-and-innovation/institutional-strategic-support-fund/current-opportunities/developing-engagement-workshops-and-delivering-proof-of-concept-engagement" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="ISSF3 Public Engagement Proof-of-Concept funding" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ISSF3 Public Engagement </A><A HREF="http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/colleges/biomedical-life-sciences/research-and-innovation/institutional-strategic-support-fund/current-opportunities/developing-engagement-workshops-and-delivering-proof-of-concept-engagement" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="ISSF3 Public Engagement Proof-of-Concept funding" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Proof-of-Concept Award</A> funding are encouraged to participate in our tailored development programme. New knowledge and insight will be gained on our outcomes focused approach to public engagement for ISSF3 which will strengthen an application to the scheme. 
Training will take place online.
