Are you curious to explore the Daphne Steele Building, the University’s first Building on the new National Innovation Health campus (NHIC)?

Located at Southgate in the centre of Huddersfield, the building is named in honour of the NHS’s first black matron Daphne Steele and is already welcoming healthcare students through its doors.

This highly sustainable building is the second University building to be built to the prestigious WELL Building Standard which ensures the highest standards for the health and wellbeing of students, staff and users. It is on track for Platinum Pre-certification which is the highest level achievable within the standard.

Andy Thompson, School Manager of the Human Health Sciences will lead the tour and share his expertise on the specialist clinical teaching facilities, world leading research facilities and public facing clinics and services, where the next generation of healthcare professionals will learn the skills and knowledge needed to help improve the health outcomes and lead innovation in healthcare for the North of England.
