Connects Network Meeting

Open and informal local business networking in Staffordshire

Genr8 Smithfield Works

Connects is a not-for-profit, relaxed and informal networking opportunity facilitated by number of local business owners in the Staffordshire area who enjoy bringing people together and promoting the many positive aspects of local community. Each month, we carefully choose our guest speakers who have success stories, interesting projects and events to share that are happening on our doorstep. We'll be back at Smithfield Works in Hanley for this session. Plenty of room so feel free to come along! Our guest speaker this month is Ann King, the local organiser for Newcastle-Staffs Foodbank. It is her job to unpick the reasons why people might need to access a foodbank in Newcastle, and work with the community to bring about change. As part of the Trussell network, Newcastle-Staffs Foodbank is looking towards a future where no-one needs to rely on a charity to put food on the table.By giving a voice to people who have experienced hardship, it aims to raise awareness of the issues clients are having to overcome and find local solutions so others are not facing the same dilemmas in the future.Whether you're a local entrepreneur, business owner or organisation, all are welcome to our network meeting, and there are no fees to attend: the meetings are free thanks to generous support from the team at the City Centre BID. So be sure to bring your business cards and share the event with others who might be interested

Welcome: A warm welcome to all attendees.

60-second Presentations: An opportunity to introduce themselves or their work.

Break: Recharge with a short break and a cup of tea and coffee.

Guest Speaker: Hear from this month's guest speaker

Q & A: The floor opens for questions and comments.

Networking: Time for informal conversations and connections among participants.

More information about Connects: www.connectsnetwork.co.ukMore information about City Centre BID: www.stokeontrentcitycentre.co.ukMore information about Newcastle-Staffs Foodbank: https://newcastlestaffs.foodbank.org.ukMore information about Trussell Network: https://www.trussell.org.uk
