The call for evidence is a request for public, private and third sector organisations across South East Scotland to share their understanding of how extreme weather today affects their activities, assets and interests, and any research on how the changing climate could affect these.

•	Research on risks,
•	Resilience plans, 
•	Risk registers,
•	Information about development / investment plans, 
•	Data about impacts and disruption
•	GIS data showing spatial distribution of your assets and demographics of the communities you serve,

Can I invite my colleagues and contacts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, please share this event with your network. All viewpoints are valuable and the more evidence we get, the better and more useful the assessment will be in determining the places, sectors and communities who may need more support to increase their resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Question 4

How might climate change affect public health, healthcare provision and wellbeing?

Accepted Answer

Climate change is a stress multiplier. Unless we plan adaptation action in an inclusive and considered way, climate change will: widen inequalities, challenge healthcare provision, and lead to direct and indirect impacts on physical and mental health.

Question 5

I'm not a climate change expert, can I still attend?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, no knowledge of climate change science is needed to attend. If you are a healthcare professional we need your insights into how extreme weather affects the region's health and wellbeing today, and use these to extrapolate how they could be impacted as the climate changes.
