National Safeguarding Conference Wales: Adult Safeguarding in Wales and England- Learning from Practice ReviewsYou’ve been invited to the National Safeguarding Online ConferenceHosted by The Shaping the Future of Safeguarding Partnership. Thursday 21st November 20249.30am – 12.00pm and 12.30pm – 3pm via Microsoft Teams The ‘Shaping the Future of Safeguarding’ Partnership, supported by Metropolis at Manchester Metropolitan University, are pleased to announce their annual safeguarding online conference, with its focus on adult safeguarding across Wales and England.With presentations from:· Prof. Suzy Braye, Emerita Professor of Social Work, University of Sussex and Prof. Michael Preston-Shoot, Emeritus Professor of Social Work, University of Bedfordshire.· Prof. Michelle McManus and Emma Ball, Manchester Metropolitan University· Care Inspectorate Wales - Adult Safeguarding Themes – a Care Inspectorate Wales Perspective. The aim of the conference is to explore learning from Adult Safeguarding including Reviews and Inspections, to identify the key issues, good practice and challenges, with focus on what needs to happen next. The presenters will share findings from recently published reports including:· Second National analysis of Safeguarding Adult Reviews in England: April 2019 - March 2023· Initial Findings from the Thematic Analysis of APRs in Wales 2024, which focusses on Risk factors, Response (organisational and multi-agency responses) and Review. There will then be an opportunity to ask questions to our multi-agency panel. Bydd y cyflwynwyr yn rhannu canfyddiadau adroddiadau sydd wedi’u cyhoeddi yn ddiweddar, sy’n cynnwys:· Ail ddadansoddiad cenedlaethol o Adolygiadau Diogelu Oedolion yn Lloegr: Ebrill 2019 – Mawrth 2023· Canfyddiadau cychwynnol y Dadansoddiad Thematig o Adolygiadau Ymarfer Oedolion yng Nghymru 2024, sy’n canolbwyntio ar ffactorau Risg, Ymateb (ymatebion sefydliadol ac amlasiantaethol) ac Adolygu Yna, bydd cyfle i ofyn cwestiynau i’n panel amlasiantaethol. Bydd y panel yn cynnwys uwch-gynrychiolwyr o Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru, y sector plismona yng Nghymru a’r sector iechyd.Edrychwn ymlaen at gael eich cwmni yn y digwyddiad!
