Join us for an engaging and interactive panel discussion on the importance of play and the need to provide more spaces for young people to express themselves through creative outlets. (This event follows on from an earlier play session at the same venue). Join us as we explore:<ul><li>The joy of play and its critical role in child and adolescent development.</li><li>The impact of safe spaces in fostering creativity, emotional well-being, and community connections.</li><li>How we can support young people in expressing themselves through art, music, performance, and other forms of creative expression.</li></ul> The panel will delve into some of the controversial issues surrounding play, engaging in critical discussions that challenge traditional views, such as the impact of technology on children's development and the growing "play divide" due to socioeconomic factors. The panel aims to broaden perspectives on the value of play, its impact on mental health, and how it shapes social and emotional development in both children and adults.A panel of young people will sit alongside industry professionals to discuss the power of creativity and share their insights and experiences in championing the importance of play in youth development. This event is brought to you by Childcare Solution CIC and Taja Dennis, with a shared mission of creating lasting positive impacts on children, families, and communities. By offering accessible and affordable childcare solutions, Childcare Solution CIC has been dedicated to strengthening communities for over 17 years. A key aspect of their approach is the integration of play into all their services, from after-school programs to supported living accommodations. Research shows that play is crucial for children's learning, cognitive development, and emotional growth. By fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, Company CIC empowers children and families to build stronger connections.This event is part of the Expressions of Resilience exhibition, a week-long collaboration celebrating the emerging creative talents of East London’s next generation of architects, designers, and artists. Hosted at BUILDHOLLYWOOD, this collaboration between Beyond the Box and BUILDHOLLYWOOD spotlights work from Hackney and Tower Hamlets talents, aged 16 to 25, showcasing projects that reflect their experiences, communities, and visions for the future.
