Domestic abuse-related suicides, with Tim Woodhouse.

VAMHN Lunchtime Webinars are accessible and concise monthly talks, providing insights into the latest research and analysis on violence, abuse, and mental health. Presenters explain their findings in plain language and focus on the real-world implications of their work. Each webinar combines a 20 minute presentation with a 20 minute Q&amp;A discussion. This webinar will focus on domestic abuse-related suicides, with Tim Woodhouse. Tim is the Kent and Medway Suicide Prevention Programme Manager and a Churchill Fellow. Tim's fellowship examined how to reduce the risk of suicides among people impacted by domestic abuse (both victims and perpetrators), after his initial research locally showed that approximately 30% of suicides had been impacted by domestic abuse. If replicated nationally it would equate to over 1,500 lives lost each year.Tim will share global best practice in this area and insights relevant to both national policy and local frontline delivery.
