Moving beyond equality, diversity &amp; inclusion (EDI) to Anti Racism in the food and farming sector

Welcome to Part 1 of our workshop series on Anti Racism.Join us for a 2 hour workshop looking at moving beyond Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion (EDI) and into Anti Racism in food and farming. The <a href="https://www.race-report.uk/" title="https://www.race-report.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Race Report</a> and <a href="https://policyexchange.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/The-two-sides-of-diversity-2.pdf" title="https://policyexchange.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/The-two-sides-of-diversity-2.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The two sides of diversity</a> highlighted the lack of diversity in the sector. However, diversity is more than a numbers game. We cannot just increase the diversity in the sector without first doing the work to create inclusive and equitable workplaces. Join us on the first of 3 training sessions to look at how to become truly anti-racist and embed these practices for meaningful and long lasting change.In this interactive workshop we will -<ul><li>Outline language and terms</li><li>Set the context, showing the links between racial justice and food justice</li><li>Work together on problem solving scenarios</li><li>Create a supportive space for meaningful knowledge exchange</li><li>Move towards meaningful action with pledges and tangible ideas for your organisation.</li><li>Discuss further support for this journey</li></ul>Pre-reading and resources will be provided for additional support.
