While coronavirus has hit business hard, it has also prompted rapid innovation - particularly in the health space. In this webinar we will highlight innovation funding opportunities from Innovate UK and provide advice for businesses thinking of applying. Hear about current and upcoming funding opportunities, identify what is relevant to you, gain tips to help make a successful application and hear about other sources of support.Joining us to share their experience at this panel discussion are: Layla Burrows, Access to Funding and Finance Manager at Business West. TouchByte is a software company that improves people’s lives by taking out points of “Friction” from their daily routines. They do this by creating, implementing and supporting Face Recognition software solutions for national and global clients. Covid19 has seen them develop Facentry Contactless, FaceStream a customer counter linked to a traffic light at the entrance and FaceCall for those patients at home that want assurance that only the doctor can securely call them at home.Dr. Sebastian Brown, Research Director, SageTech Medical Equipment Ltd. Sebastian is passionate about ecology, social value and improving the world of medicine. This passion led him to invent SageTech’s innovative anaesthetic gas recycling system in his spare time! Marc Barlow, Formerly Head of Global Strategic Marketing/Care Area Marketing, GE Healthcare. Marc is a highly experienced commercial leader with extensive healthcare experience in pharmaceuticals and medical technology sectors. Emma Seymour, Smartline. Emma has extensive experience working in the public and private sector, supporting enterprise engagement and impact development by facilitating interactions between research and enterprise.
