OUR Generation is on the road!We are holding a Circle Exchange 31st January aimed at those working with children &amp; young people (aged 9-25) in County Tyrone. This is a great opportunity to share experiences and key issues facing young people in your county, while building relationships with other groups over some tea, coffee &amp; scones!What is the OUR Generation project about?<ul><li>The Our Generation Project is a Youth Mental Health &amp; Wellbeing Project. The project aims to increase mental health literacy, enhance emotional resilience and build the leadership skills of children and young people and lead research in mental health and the impact of trauma on our communities.</li><li>OUR Generation is an EU PEACEPLUS funded project, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), and comprises 9 partner organisations. Action Mental Health is the Lead Partner, and Co-operation Ireland is organising these Circle Exchanges across NI and the 6 Border Counties of Ireland.</li></ul>Who can come?<ul><li>If you work with children &amp; young people (aged 9-25) we would love to hear from you.</li><li>We are keen to engage with community groups all over County Tyrone, creating a network for each of the counties we are working in. An important part of our goal is engaging with communities living in rural areas.</li></ul>What is a Circle Exchange?"When we gather in circle, we invite the best in all of us" (Heatherplett.com)<ul><li>A Circle Exchange is an informal way of sharing experiences and having a face to face conversation. It provides a way to exchange information about the OUR Generation project &amp; opportunities available.</li><li>Please bring an item with you that represents promoting positive mental health. We will discuss these items in the circle and listen to your stories and ideas together.</li></ul>Why get involved with OUR Generation?<ul><li>These circle exchanges are taking place across all 6 counties in NI and the 6 border counties of Ireland from November 2024-March 2025. See map attached for details!</li><li>We at Cooperation Ireland as a Project partner, are carrying out an extensive scoping exercise with the aim of establishing what work is being done with Children and Young People (aged 9-25) across Northern Ireland and the Border Counties of Ireland, what the needs are, identify gaps, and areas where capacity can be built. Attending these circle exchanges helps us best direct OUR Generation Project delivery tailored to the needs of children &amp; young people in your county.</li><li>It's a great chance to network and find out how to get involved in numerous upcoming OUR Generation initiatives.</li></ul>A project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
