The event is open to all those within these networks and Allies who want to support inclusivity in the legal profession. <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/anya-elizabeth-patel-8444a38a/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/anya-elizabeth-patel-8444a38a/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Anya Patel, Senior Employment Lawyer, Islamophobia Response Unit</a>Anya was called to the Bar in 2008, is a member of The Honourable Society of Inner Temple and brings a substantial array of skills accrued not only in her legal career where she has represented individuals, public, private and third sector organisations at a contentious level at Employment Tribunals across the UK and, provided in house Legal Counsel resulting in the successful transformation of business but also prior to her retraining in law mid-career, was appointed as Director, Campaigner and Spokeswomen for national and European professional associations and copyright societies campaigns, representing up to 80,000 British creative workers across the UK, in Westminster and in Brussels resulting in persuading the Government to implement EC Directive Droit de Suite, employment rights and codes of practice for freelancers. Anya is a very experienced Advocate having addressed many Tribunals and conferences tackling employment rights, equality and exclusion including, among others, UNESCO'S Parallel Conference 'In from the Margins' and EC Conference 'Citizenship' in Naples.
