<p>At the height of Lockdown a spectacular Roman mosaic was found in a field in the smallest county in England. Not only was it an unusual subject, it turned out to be a surprisingly complete villa complex. Historic England teamed up with the University of Leicester to explore it and gather the necessary knowledge to preserve it. This lecture tells the story so far…</p><p>Tom Cromwell is a Senior Archaeologist in the Excavation Team at Historic England, where he has worked on a wide range of sites over the past three decades. Trained in Medieval Archaeology, his recent projects stretch from Roman to post-Medieval.</p>
