We give each other emotional strength to help us to cope with our working and family lives and provide opportunities for all deaf women with range of hearing loss.

<h3>This workshop outlines the things you need to become an employer of Personal Assistants/Care workers.</h3> Attend this one-off, one-day workshop, the learning outcomes are:Learning outcomes◗ How to become a good employer◗ Understanding the role of employers’ boundaries and expectations◗ Where to get advice, information and support on employing Personal Assistants◗ Employment rights◗ How to keep your PAs motivated and committed Date: Monday 17th March 2025Zoom onlineTime: 10 am - 4 pmDuration: 6 hoursTrainer: Lisa Haythrone and Gary Steel CPD accredited? YesCertificate available? Yes *BSL interpreters/captions are available on the day.* <h3>FREE training courses for Personal Assistants, Communication Support workers and Care workers working for Deaf or Deafblind Direct Payment / Self funded employers and users.</h3>The workshops will provide an overview on what is involved when communicating and supporting deaf &amp; deafblind people to assist them in meeting their social care needs. The courses are for:◗ Personal Assistants (PAs) employed by individual employers e.g. Direct Payment employers or self-funded employers.◗ PAs, Communication Support Workers, and Care workers who are paid privately by Deaf/Disabled people or who are Direct Payment or Personal Budget users. *Please note that due to the nature of our funding, these workshops are not available to those employed by local authorities or to Personal Health budget users. Direct Payment employers will be able to claim reasonable work and travelling expenses for their Personal Assistant(s) to attend one or more of the following workshops to help them develop their skills &amp; knowledge.
