Winter Songs at the Dragon Stones with the Rock Choir

St Nicks is the green heart of York: a centre for nature and green living. The charity started as ‘Friends of St Nicholas Fields’ in the 1990s by transforming a former landfill site into a thriving Local Nature Reserve. We continue to manage it, with the help of many great volunteers, for the benefit of both wildlife and our visitors. We are based at St Nicks Environment Centre which combines many green features. From this base, we run projects, events and services which help to make York more sustainable.

York based contemporary Rock choir will be performing.  Come along for a festive celebration whilst supporting St Nicks charity.

<h4><strong><strong>Please note the Rock Choir performance will now take place in the garden location of St Nicks Environment Centre due to adverse weather forecasts.</strong></strong></h4><p><br></p><p>Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the City. Enjoy an uplifting performance by the UK’s favourite contemporary choir. <a href="https://rockchoir.com/" title="https://rockchoir.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rock Choir</a> members from across North Yorkshire will be performing a selection of fun, upbeat songs from the Rock Choir repertoire, including some lively winter favourites for you to sing along with at the Dragon Stones.</p><p><strong><strong>Location &amp; Timings</strong></strong></p><p>St Nicks Environment Centre will be open from 5pm until 5.45pm where you can buy a hot drink, including mulled apple juice and homemade cakes before the performance starts. Toilet facilities will also be available at the centre.</p><p>The Dragon stones are reached along a hard standing path from the environment centre, there is a short section of bare soil path to get into the dragon stone circle. The Choir performance will start at 6.00pm and run until approximately 7.00pm.
