How is the course structured?

The Easter Course runs for four days, from 10am – 3.30pm each day. It is managed by our course instructors who possess over 20 years of experience in exam preparation collectively. The first 2 days focus on mathematics and non-verbal reasoning, while the final 2 days of the course focus on comprehension, creative writing and verbal-reasoning.

Class sizes are small (maximum 7:1 student-to-tutor ratio) to ensure focused and effective learning. All classwork, homework, mock exams, assessments, online practice questions/assessments are included.

A mock exam takes place at the beginning of the course, so we can identify children’s weaknesses and respond accordingly by helping fill in the gaps or extending their knowledge to a greater depth. This will also allow us to group children appropriately throughout the course, enabling every child to be stretched and reach their full potential.

After the course, a written report with honest feedback and recommendations is emailed to parents ensuring parents are abreast of the insights we gather during the course.

These intensive courses are perfect for making the most of your child’s Easter holidays. Despite the intensive tuition, the class environment and lesson structure is built to be fun and engaging. This means that your child will be happy to learn, and more often than not, leave with a smile on their face and some new friends.

Here are some of the topics which the Easter holiday course covers:

  • Shapes (maths and non-verbal reasoning)
  • Geometry (maths)
  • Algebra (maths)
  • Word problems and puzzles (maths and logic/reasoning)
  • Picking vocabulary and its effects (creative writing and verbal reasoning)
  • Sentence variation (creative writing)
  • Evidence and explanations (comprehension)
  • Advanced figurative devices (comprehension and creative writing)
  • Comprehension Analysis (creative comprehension/analysis)
  • Exam technique (maths, creative writing and comprehension)

You can book for the full 4 days, or you can opt to book 2 days of Maths/2 days of English.

Testimonials

'Jane and Andrew are very responsible and extremely helpful. Their tutoring is very effective and personalized. We sincerely appreciate their help. My son got offers from top London schools including CLS. Highly recommended!'
SAMUEL DU

Really grateful to the team. My youngest attended courses for 11 plus prep and then we took up their online tuition to finish up with her and my son doing GCSEs next summer. I wasn’t too keen on online to begin with but it certainly does the trick. We have got places for our top three choices and feel very confident about the pending GCSE results. Very happy, highly recommended.
STEVEN GAYLE

We are very happy with Jane and Andrew who are both professional and enthusiastic. My DS has passed all paper exams and were invited for interviews by all applied schools including SPB and CLS.
Y ZHAO

“The team are fantastic at 11 plus London, they are friendly and approachable and are very quick to ascertain the areas of your child’s knowledge base that need boosting. The programme they create is well organised and helped our son improve in all areas. We will be going back to 11 plus London for our son’s brother.”
