Understanding Wine at the Dinner Table in No Decanting!® COMPREHENSIVE WINE &amp; FOOD PAIRING COURSESpecificationsThis course is highly empirical and designed to master the principles of wine &amp; food pairing at the dinner table.The full course consists of 4 masterclasses plus a free introductory class with guided wine tastings, practical exercises, sensorial analyses and food pairing tutorials according to the No Decanting!® principles. Each class will explain, in detail, how the various service, tasting and pairing techniques are applied to wine and gastronomy.They can be booked individually or as part of a full course, consisting of 4 masterclasses, at a special fee (see below). Masterclasses are on a recurring weekly-basis and are intended for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 people.CHECK OUR LIST OF EVENTS &amp; BOOK YOUR FREE INTRO MASTERCLASS NOW!LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE!Masterclasses are held live on Zoom at dinner time, once a week, on Thursday, and last for about 1.5 hours, allowing you to taste each wine along its natural evolution in the glass and in pairing with your meal.Up to 3 bottles are opened, tasted and paired with food during each session. It is equally possible to open only 1 bottle and follow its evolution in the glass…from aperitif to dessert!Getting Your WinesAfter securing your place, you will immediately receive a list of suitable wines to purchase, selected by No Decanting!® according to grape varietals, type of wine-making and link to terroir. The bottles are readily available on the market and can be acquired, either online or at a physical wine-store, ahead of the course or before every masterclass. A bespoke menu with authentic recipes that can easily be prepared at home will be available for each masterclass. There will be plant-based options and take-away alternatives for those that do not wish to cook at home. Special menus will be created for those who opted for a single bottle of wine.If you have a food intolerance or an allergy, a number of tailored meals will be suggested for you.All the pairings will be created in No Decanting!® to maximise the hedonistic pleasure of both the wines in the glass and the food on the table.For educational purposes, a number of extra ingredients from your fridge will need to be ready to taste ahead of each tutorial.  A list containing all the necessary food and tools for each masterclass will also be provided in advance. All tastings and sensorial analyses will benefit from the use of ISO tasting glasses, or large red wine glasses, which can be acquired on the internet.Learning ObjectivesAfter each masterclass, you will be able to:- taste and serve any wine like a pro, while at home or out with family, colleagues or friends- learn how to find the best food pairing for a wine or viceversa - explore how different styles of wine-making and different grape varietals can influence the pairing potential of wine and food at the dinner table - challenge many of the wide-spread myths that still make wine an elitist and snobbish beverage in our society- grasp the differences between terroir-driven wines, a bottle from a modernist producer or a mass-produced offering- explore how both traditional and modern cuisine pair with wine and, ultimately- successfully pair with food any white, red, sparkling and fortified wine…from aperitif to dessert!ExtrasYou will be assigned optional homework in the form of additional wines to taste and additional meals to prepare, as well as supplementary reading materials, to further your understanding of every aspect of wine &amp; food pairing. A free introductory session before the start date of the course will allow you to learn the fundamentals of wine &amp; food tasting in No Decanting!®, become familiar with the structure of the masterclasses and set up the necessary online tools.
