Do you want to have your say about inclusion in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead?We want to hear from ALL young people who live or go to school in RBWM about about neurodivergence and disability. We want to hear about you or your friends or siblings lived experience here in the borough and what your suggestions are of what can be improved!Following on from our last Empowerment Day, the theme of the day is “The Women Who Will Come After Us” because we want to make a difference for the people who will grow up here after us and focus on improving the experiences of young disabled and neurodivergent individuals in the borough.During the event, we have guest speakers who will talk to us about their lived experience, how they overcame challenges, celebrating differences while helping us to identifying and implement things that we can all do to promote greater accessibility and make RBWM the best place to live if you are neurodivergent and have a disability.In addition, we will have workshops taking place throughout the day. These aim to increase awareness and allow for feedback regarding inclusivity. Using our Empowerment Day as a guide, we will write a report on inclusion, which will go to senior management at RBWM and Achieving for Children.This event will be hosted by Girls Forum, a group for girls aged 12-19 in RBWM. We are dedicated to empowering women to ensure our voices are heard and promoting inclusion and diversity.We can’t wait to see you there!
