There is an overspill car park immediately prior to the Friarton site on the right-hand side (see layout map). This is the preferred parking area that should be used. Please do not block any access points to the residential housing adjacent, only half of this car park is PKC.
Leave Friarton depot from the overflow car park turning left towards Friarton road, you can take a right onto Lower Friarton , parallel to the River Tay, there are no yellow lines on this road. Parking immediately outside the depot at the King James Business centre is not recommended.
This is exceedingly rare. No one has been successfully sued in the UK for doing CPR. If you have a duty of care for an individual and are expected to know CPR for your role (e.g. healthcare professional, lifeguard) you are at risk of being sued if you do not do CPR when expected to do so.
The risk to the person doing CPR is very small. Your personal safety is the first priority, so if you have safety concerns, wait until an ambulance arrives or help arrives.
You can attend but we can not issue a certificate of competence in Emergency First Aid at Work as it a requirement that you must be assessed for 2 minutes of CPR, and that CPR must be completed on the floor for an adult and child.
If someone has a cardiac arrest – they will die without CPR. Currently less than 1 in 3 people who have a cardiac arrest get any CPR before an ambulance arrive. If you start CPR before the ambulance arrives you can double the person’s chance of survival.
Less than 10% of the 30, 000 people in the UK who have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest treated by the ambulance service each year survive to leave hospital alive. Early CPR by bystanders before an ambulance arrives doubles the chance of survival.
This is just a glitch in the Eventbrite scheduling, Please note: When you book on the calendar day the event runs two consecutive days e.g. When you book for the 14th Jan , the course is two consecutive days 9.30 - 16.00 14th & 15th Jan
NOTE: The easiest way to find the depot is to put "Perth & Kinross Council - Friarton Depot" in Google Maps.
If you do not attend your booked training course and give no notice of your non-attendance, a charge of £50 will be made to your team. If you provide 24 hours' notice or in the case of sickness or unforeseen circumstances provide notification on the morning of the training a charge will not be made.
