Built entirely around sustainability, and passionate about producing beautiful skincare products that give back rather than take from nature. Seilich do this by creating native wildflower meadows from which our botanical ingredients are sourced. Using a traditional copper still, Seilich carefully distil the plants to produce essential oils and floral waters. It is these precious botanical extracts that form the basis of the Seilich product range. As nature sits at the heart of everything they do, Seilich are very proud to be the first company in the UK to gain Wildlife Friendly certification (see www.seilich.co.uk).More and more of us are enjoying using essential oils in our day to day lives, however very few of us understand what they really are and how they are made. Come along on this workshop in the beautiful orangerie and walled garden at Prestonhall, where we will:take a look at some of the plants that produce essential oils during a wander around the walled gardenlearn why plants make essential oils and how they are producedexperience a live essential oil distillation on a traditional copper still.All participants will leave with a bottle of floral water made on the day.WanderWomen: Facilitating escapes for women - into the wilderness in and around Edinburgh and East Lothian in Scotland, creating opportunities to step back from everyday life, in order to find connection to the self, like-minded women, and the outdoors around us.
