The Southern & Islands Team of the Learning Network serves the Channel Islands, South-East, and Southampton districts of the Methodist Church. We work in partnership with many other people who have a heart and passion for learning and development in the context of mission and ministry.

This will be a place to hear of the joys and struggles of 5 leading practitioners of online worship. To ask questions and gain insight.

<p>Our churches have been shut for over four months and you have had to find new ways of ‘doing’ worship.  So what’s been your online experience : have you been able to reach the unreached? Have you struggled with fickle broadband?  Has your ministry flourished or are you Zoomed out? How has your congregation adapted? And now that our churches are beginning to re-open how do you see the way forward?  </p><p>This event is for all those involved in leading online worship.</p><p><em><strong>What if I&#x27;m not ordained, not employed by a church, a volunteer or from another denomination?</strong></em></p><p>We welcome all! Whether you&#x27;re paid or volunteer, lay or ordained or from another denomination, we&#x27;d love you to come and be part of things!</p><h2>How much does this training event cost?</h2><p>This event is free to anyone - just register and you&#x27;ll receive joining instructions for the webinar.</p><h2>About the Connexional Learning Network</h2><p>Learning and development across the connexion is supported by the Methodist Church&#x27;s Learning Network. This work has four aims:</p><ul><li>nurturing and equipping Christ-like disciples</li><li>challenging and equipping mission-shaped communities</li><li>forming and equipping those who share in lay and ordained ministry</li><li>enabling and encouraging creative thinkers in an environment of scholarship, research and innovation.</li></ul><p>The Southern &amp; Islands Region of the Learning Network covers the Channel Islands, South-East, and Southampton districts of the Methodist Church. This helps us with reducing wastage of resources and food.</strong></p><p></p><h3>The name on the registration/ticket doesn&#x27;t match the attendee. Is that okay?</h3><p>We ask that there are other people in your party who can confirm you’re part of the booking if your name is not on the ticket in question. It is also possible that if we are catering this event any dietary requirements will not be met.
