We are dedicated to giving young people opportunities to play a part in creating a sustainable future.Our projects focus on three interdependent themes of 'I, We & The Planet'. This approach increases awareness of self, community and the natural environment and instils young people with the confidence to generate change in the business and local community of King's Cross, London.

Workshops in our Gardens

Learn with us in our beautiful community garden spaces! Learn about natural cosmetics, herbalism, mending, repairing, making with clay  and more. By participating in our workshops, you help support the charity as a whole and our continued community work.

Interested in learning more about wild edibles and accessing food for free? Join us for a hands-on foraging session at the Story Garden just steps away from Kings Cross/London St Pancras Station.We will be learning about a variety of wild edibles and medicinals that can be found in urban environments and how to include them in our everyday life. We will discuss how to include wild food in your diet, recipes, preserving practises, seasonal harvest, herbal medicine and medicine beyond the physical properties of the plant.Just like traditional crafts, foraging is best learnt through lived experience.Join us for a practical session where we will cover:<ul><li>Foraging principles: good practice for people and earth</li><li>Plant Identification: how to recognise plant families and poisonous plants in a garden setting</li><li>Seasonal harvest guide</li><li>Recipes for everyday cooking and preserving techniques</li><li>Kitchen Medicine and Herbal Remedies </li><li>Taste wild food along the walk and using our senses to experience the plant </li><li>Developing our intuition and how to marry the intuitive and the practical</li><li>We will explore what we mean when we say a ‘medicinal’ plant, exploring the relationship between food, medicine and plants beyond their physical properties</li></ul>We will finish off the walk with a wild snack and wild tea. About the Space and AccessibilityThe Story Garden is an active community garden and growing space. While we maintain the paths so that mobility devices can access the space, there are uneven and slippery surfaces throughout, so please take care. The Roundhouse is a wooden circular structure with a woodburning fire. There are two ramps for access and it is located within the garden. Please speak to the team if you have specific accessibility needs.About Charlotte:Charlotte is an Intuitive Herbalist, forager, food grower, community gardener and teacher. She trained with The School of Intuitive Herbalism from 2015 and has been walking the plant path for the last 11 years. Charlotte shares the magic of the plant world alongside practical skills to introduce wild food and wild medicine into our everyday experience - teaching ‘medicine’ beyond the physical properties of the plants. Charlotte teaches foraging, practical medicine making sessions, and offers deep soul sessions in Intuitive Herbalism. We offer activities such as urban food growing, supporting bees, carpentry, cooking, storytelling, creative writing, performance and more. We aim to create the conditions for people to come together, connect with themselves, others and their local area and to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale, and we encourage those who can, to pay it forward. We have a donation option where you can put money towards supporting the work we do including offering free spaces for community members.
