Woodlands Community is a Development Trust, a charitable organisation that aims to improve the Woodlands area of Glasgow and the lives of local people. We achieve this through community-led activity and partnership with both local and national organisations.Our aim is to be a force for positive, community-led change in Woodlands.We want to achieve lasting benefits for the area and the people who live, work or study here:- Helping local residents and businesses to improve the Woodlands area- Promoting the health and wellbeing of local people- Promoting learning and education within the community- Encouraging artistic and cultural activity in Woodlands- Protecting and developing Woodlands’ natural and built environment

We’ll meet on the Woodlands Community Terrace and learn about a wide range of remedies and foods which you can take home, focusing on plants

*Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions this workshop has moved online. We will send out a video link and handout and contact details for the tutor, Catriona Gibson.We’ll meet on the Woodlands Community Terrace and learn about a wide range of remedies and foods which you can take home, focusing on plants you can find locally both in the wild and in the Woodlands Community Garden, how to harvest them safely and preserve them carefully. We&#x27;ll provide rain cover, but please come prepared for the weather!These workshops are free, though we ask that you make a one off donation when booking here on Eventbrite. This is a great help to us in being able to afford to run more workshops such as this.We are making sure to stick to government guidelines re group numbers and households meeting outdoors. Hand sanitisers are available on the Terrace and we have marked the space, so that social distancing is made easy. Unfortunately we can&#x27;t allow access to our on site toilet at the moment. No previous experience is required and there will be handouts - please bring along a notebook and feel free to take photos.11th September - Marvelous MintsWe look forward to seeing you!
