We welcome Tedx speaker, Author, Trainer and Therapist Dawn Walton for a conversation on anxiety.

With a wide range of knowledge and experience it was difficult to highlight one area for Dawn to concentrate on. However, with schools going back this week it seemed extremely relevant to consider her work and suggestions around Anxiety."About a third of the clients I see these days are between 8 and 16 years old. There is an increase in the levels of anxiety being experienced by those under 16, and yet there are very few resources to help. As the adults responsible for these children, you have probably become experts on anxiety and the triggers for your child.Anxiety is a big word. There are an almost infinite number of things that can lead you to feeling anxious.Anxiety, as a word, or a label, tells you nothing about the why"Dawn is a TEDx speaker, therapist owner of the website - 'thinkitchangeit.com' and author of 'The caveman rules of survival' and ' We're all screwed up (and that's ok)'.Join us for a fabulous opportunity to listen to Dawn's ideas and views with the chance for questions at the end of the webinar.Dawn's BiographyDawn is passionate about helping as many people as possible realise how normal it is to be screwed up. It doesn't have to limit you. She gets your head out of the way so you can be the best version of you. Damn had a hugely successful career as a consultant for many years, and, with a husband and daughter (turned 12 in 2020), had a very settled life. But all was not right. Thanks to an abusive childhood for the first 18 years of her life, she felt worthless, and hated herself. When her daughter was 3 she realised her screw ups were affecting her child, and that was not ok. After seeing the founder of a relatively unknown approach called Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Dawn's life was transformed. She trained as Cognitive Hypnotherapist and went on to gain a Masters in Psychology. She has integrated her wide knowledge into her own therapy approach - focussing on giving others a toolkit to overcome their own problems. Over a 7-year period she has helped more than 850 people worldwide overcome things that get in the way of them being the best they can be. Whilst she specialises in helping adults overcome childhood issues, she can help with a wide range of issues. Over the last couple of years about a third of her clients have been children aged 8 and upwards. She helps with difficulties including anxiety around school, eating disorders, and her approach has proved very effective with children with ADHD and Asperger's. A favourite quote from a 16 year old she recently helped is "You are not a normal adult are you?" (it was meant in a nice way!) Sessions take place online and in person, and work just as well either way. 99% of her clients need no more than 3 sessions to be free to get on with their lives.www.thinkitchangeit.comTwitter: @thinkitchangeitFacebook: DawnatThinkitchangeitInstagram: dawn_thinkitchangeitDawn@thinkitchangeit.com07734113830
