Founded in 2013, Turf Projects is the first entirely artist-run contemporary art space in Croydon, South London.Established by creatives with a personal connection to the borough, Turf now comprises; a gallery space exhibiting work from emerging and established artists; an artists workspace and events space; and a small studio provision for artists and makers.We endeavor to create free, high quality exhibitions and events for Croydon both at our workshop & gallery space in the Whitgift Centre and out in the Croydon community.

Get feedback on your creative work in this online event

Taking place at the end of each month, our free feedback sessions are a chance to get feedback on your work from a practicing artist in a supportive and friendly environment. All kinds of creative work are welcome. August&#x27;s feedback session will be led by artist and curator Rosie Mills Eckmire.For this online session, we will be using video calling platform Zoom. It is possible to take part with or without setting up an account, and we will send instructions for joining ahead of the day.This workshop is free to attend and open to all but booking is recommended, as spaces are limited. There are five slots available for showing work, but all are welcome to join in the discussion. For those showing work, please send through images or links you would like to share to: holly@turf-projects.com by Friday 28 August 2020.ABOUT ROSIE MILLS ECKMIRE //Rosie Mills Eckmire is a curator, illustrator, and noisemaker from south London. She is interested in the therapeutic properties of creativity and enabling art to be accessible for all. In addition to her self-initiated projects, she has curated exhibitions and events at Turf Projects, serf, and the ICA. In her personal art practice she performs, illustrates, and writes about home, loss, emotional states, fog on bus windows and grass growing through concrete.
