A  fabulous farm picnic put together by English Farm to celebrate the best of local produce. A licensed bar and live music from Purdy.

Join us at English Farm for a day celebrating the best of local produce with our inaugural farm picnic – the first in a series of planned events to see us through the remainder of 2020. Set against the backdrop of our beautiful farm and timber barns, we will be putting on a fabulous picnic hamper made up of the finest produce from around Henley-on-Thames. The hamper will include produce from English Farm (of course!) Nettlebed Creamery, Bosley Patch and many more...We will also have live music from the wonderful Purdy...What a perfect way to see off the end of summer with friends and family...The picnic will run across two sittings to help with social distancing. The sittings will run from 11.30am – 13.45pm &amp; 14.30pm – 16.45pm. We will put a hamper together based on how many adult portions are ordered in your group. We will also have English Farm Longhorn burgers made to order for children and any adults that are still hungry!All you need to do is bring your own picnic blanket, cutlery, cups, crockery and hot drinks – we provide the hamper, the music and the stunning location for you to enjoy the afternoon.We will release the menu in due course. It will be based on an English Farm Longhorn beef salad, cheeses, honey, breads and sweet things. We can offer a vegetarian option by substituting beef for cheese in the main dish – please disclose any dietary requirements when booking.At the end of each sitting, our farm butchery will be open for you to stock up on fresh produce.IMPORTANT INFORMATION:- Please email longhorns@englishfarm.net once you have ordered to let us know of any necessary dietary requirements. - Picnic Hampers will be portioned based on the number of adults in your group. They are designed for sharing. The minimum number of adults per hamper is 2 adults - please email to let us know how many people will be sharing your hamper (tickets sold in your party).- Due to nature of an outdoor event, the event may be cancelled if at risk of bad weather. All tickets will be refunded in this instance.- Picnic sittings will be allocated based on spreading the footfall as evenly as possible. We will be in touch with details of your allocated sitting in due course.- Pre-booking is essential for the farm picnic hamper. However, we will be offering music only ticket entry at the door with burgers on offer for those not enjoying the picnic hamper.- For younger children who would unlikely want to have an adult picnic hamper portion, we will have English Farm Longhorn Burgers available to buy from the BBQ. Children not having an allocated hamper portion will not be charged entry into the event, however food not included in the hamper will come with an extra charge.- Any extra food, fresh produce or drinks purchased on the day can only be paid for by card transaction. We do not accept Cash.- Tap water will be available free of charge but please bring a refillable cup.- Please bring any blankets, cutlery, crockery or hot drinks you may wish to use during the day.- The food will be served in single use compostable packaging. Please put all rubbish into the bins provided – this is an idyllic organic farm, please help us keep it that way.- Once your picnic sitting has ended we kindly ask that you pack your blankets etc and make space for those booked into the next sitting.- We ask that everyone follows government guidelines on social distancing and interacting with other households.- Currently, in outdoor spaces it is possible to socialise with up to 6 people from different households. You can socialise in larger groups if everyone is from 1 or 2 households only.- Hygiene stations will be situated across the venue with relevant signage to help with safe distancing and Covid-19 protocols.- Staff will be familiar with Covid-19 protocols and will be able to help direct you on the day. Masks and gloves will be worn by all members of staff handling food and drink.- Toilets will be available for customers. A hand sanitising station will be situated outside the toilets. Disinfecting spray and wipes will be left inside each toilet to be used before and after each use.- There will be a bar available on the day. This is not a BYOB event.- Car Parking will be very limited. If you are able to car share with support bubbles and same households then do so. You can also walk, cycle and taxi. We will have a drop off zone near the picnic area with a larger allocated car park, a 5-minute walk from the venue.- No dogs allowed – we do love dogs, but some other guests may not be so dog friendly!
