Making the Future is a major new cultural heritage project from Nerve Centre, National Museums NI, Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and Linen Hall Library, supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV programme.Making the Future will use significant objects, collections and archives as a stimulus to pose challenging questions about the past, ‘take the temperature’ of where we are at currently as a society, and create a manifesto for our future.For more information onMaking the Futureand how to get involved visit www.makingthefuture.eu

Join us to explore  'Ordinary People, Extraordinary Times' & 'Stay Home Memories' - two online projects delivered during Lockdown.

As part of Good Relations Week, join us as we launch the outputs from two community engagement programmes delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic.Ordinary People, Extraordinary Times was the first online Making the Future programme at the height of lockdown that brought people together across the country to connect with one another and share their life stories and experiences. The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) also launched the Stay Home Memories project to encourage people from across NI to contribute to the community memory of the 2020 lockdown. In this special online event, the team involved in both programmes will discuss issues of memory collection, preservation and access as well as the power of online technology and archives in the promotion of good relations.We&#x27;ll also showcase highlights from both projects and launch a new website resource.This event is taking place on Zoom. Sign-up closes 24 hours before the event and an invite will be sent to everyone registered 24 hours before the beginning of the event.
