Making the Future is a major new cultural heritage project from Nerve Centre, National Museums NI, Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and Linen Hall Library, supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV programme.Making the Future will use significant objects, collections and archives as a stimulus to pose challenging questions about the past, ‘take the temperature’ of where we are at currently as a society, and create a manifesto for our future.For more information onMaking the Futureand how to get involved visit www.makingthefuture.eu

The session will be recorded and made available online at www.makingthefuture.eu and via Making the Future social media sites.***Dr Darragh Gannon from Queen&#x27;s University, an expert in the Irish revolutionary period, will deliver a talk on the history and legacy of Partition and the formation of Northern Ireland during this Making the Future event for Good Relations Week. This event is co-delivered by National Museums NI and the Nerve Centre ahead of plans in 2021 to cover the centenary of Partition.This online event will feature a presentation from Darragh Gannon who will offer a history of partition and its ongoing legacy today. Darragh is a modern historian with research expertise in the Irish in Great Britain and the Irish revolution and has published widely on the revolutionary decade.The event will also feature the opportunity to hear about plans form National Museums NI and the Nerve Centre around the centenary. This event is taking place on Zoom. Sign-up closes 24 hours before the event and an invite will be sent to everyone registered 24 hours before the beginning of the event.
