City Lions October Half Term Holiday Programme

Ever made a camera? Tried Virtual Reality? Written and recorded a song? Made an architectural model of your own design?These are just some of the activities that City Lions offers to young people. Our programme is always fresh and exciting, with many different types of creativity for you to experience. Whether you want to work in creativity and culture, or you're just curious about your local area, City Lions is a great way to explore Westminster and creativity. City Lions

City Lions is a free workshop programme that aims to help young people between 13-16 explore their own creativity and expand their horizons

Join us on a 3-day adventure where we will meet and learn from some of Westminster&#x27;s most exciting creatives! In this &#x27;behind the scenes&#x27; peek at the creative industries you will improve your creative skills with interactive workshops and Q&amp;A sessions with industry leaders. You&#x27;ll also be in with the chance to earn a digital badge - which is great for your CV!Each day of the programme will include check in and out sessions to get to know each other and share your thoughts of the day, including breaks and lunch. This October there is the opportunity to take place in a face to face workshops as well as virtual sessions. This half term you&#x27;ll be able to explore:<ul><li>What is creativity? </li><li>Visual merchandising and creative roles in retail with <a href="http://www.redborder.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RedBorder</a> </li><li><a href="https://www.wondersoflondon.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Wonders of London</a> face to face tour around Westminster*</li><li>Make your own puppet with <a href="https://lesenfantsterribles.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Les Enfants Terribles </a></li><li>Explore physics in a brand new way through an art workshop with Imperial College London </li><li>Treasure hunt across Westminster - Race against your friends and the clock in an effort to find all the &#x27;treasure&#x27; hidden in Westminster. * </li></ul>We ask all participants to commit to attending each session. * This will be a face to face activity. Social distancing will be observed with activities run in a COVID secure way. Details of our risk assessment and COVID guidelines will be provided. Webinar joining instructions, social distancing guidelines and further information will be sent out closer to the programme start time via the email you provide when you register. You will need to have a Zoom account to attend the sessions - Zoom is easy to set up and free! City Lions is designed for Westminster&#x27;s young people (those who live or go to school in the City of Westminster) between the ages of 13 - 16 years old.
