A Journey Within Inner LightHealing Light: A Journey Within brings together three exceptional London-based Chinese artists who explore the transformative power of art as a means of healing and self-discovery. Through diverse mediums such as jewelry design, painting, and multimedia installations, the exhibition delves into the profound journey of finding inner peace, love, and light. Each artist presents a unique interpretation of the shared theme, offering viewers an invitation to reflect on their personal paths of emotional restoration and spiritual awakening. This collaborative showcase creates a space for introspection and connection, demonstrating art’s capacity to bridge the emotional and the universal, ultimately guiding us toward harmony and renewal.

Firepit Art Gallery is hosting nearly a month of Lunar New Year events throughout February. 'A Journey Within Inner Light' is a showcase of UK based Chinese artists, taking over the red room within Firepit for the month. Opening on Saturday 1st February at 12pm. On Thursday 13th February, we will hold a celebration party for the artists, a chance for you to meet and chat with them, as well as having an opportunity to experince some live drawing and performance. <h3>The Artists</h3> Jie Fu Jie Fu is a visual artist and human-computer interaction researcher, currently pursuing a PhD at the Creative Computing Institute at the University of the Arts London. Her work explores immersive information design, focusing on the integration of virtual reality and AI-generated content. Jie leverages platforms like Apple Vision Pro to push the boundaries of interactive art and user experience.As the founder of DREAM CREATIVE, she has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Hermès and Starbucks, crafting distinctive artworks and brand experiences. Known for her dreamlike and therapeutic style, her work often features surreal elements like floating dolphins, pink clouds, and celestial journeys, inviting viewers into a space of imagination and healing. Jie’s art has been exhibited at venues such as the London Transport Museum and has garnered accolades including the AOI Illustration Award and the MUSE Gold Award. Her practice embodies a seamless fusion of art, technology, and human connection. Jin Tian Jin Tian is a German-British oil painter based in London. Her varied life experiences have shaped, and are reflected, in her artwork.Born in China, Jin’s deep passion for art was initially set aside as her family directed her toward a medical career. After relocating to Germany, she changed her focus to communication design, later moving to the UK to earn an MA in Creative Advertising and embark on a PhD examining China’s creative community. However, Jin ultimately sought a deeper, more authentic creative outlet in painting.Through years of dedicated practice, Jin has developed a unique painting method and style. Every brushstroke is unplanned yet deliberate, representing the steps we take each day to form the final, complex image of life itself. Her work resonates emotionally with viewers, reflecting her inner journey and contributing to the ongoing dialogue about multi-identity, transformation, and the shared human experience. Octavia Yang Octavia Yang is an art healing practitioner specializing in trauma healing through guided drawing and a jewelry designer with over a decade of experience. A recipient of the prestigious Swarovski Jewelry Design Award, she has collaborated with renowned global brands such as Swarovski and showcased her work at various international venues.Inspiration from her personal longing for eternal love, Octavia’s designs transform emotions into tangible forms, imbuing her pieces with both aesthetic and emotional value. In recent years, she has expanded her practice to include art coaching, focusing on promoting emotional healing and self-exploration.She refers to her approach, which integrates art therapy lead by the autonomic nervous system, as the Yoga of Drawing. This non-verbal healing method facilitates a dialogue with the body’s memory, encouraging self-discovery through creative expression.Octavia’s work aims to inspire individuals to find inner harmony through the transformative power of art and neuroscience.
