The Cornubian Arts & Science Trust (CAST) is an educational charity, established in 2012.CAST aims to promote participation, appreciation and learning in the visual arts and to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration across the arts and sciences. It is committed to the pursuit of excellence.

Renowned British artist John Smith will speak about his work, which is currently on show at CAST.

Born in 1952 in Walthamstow, John Smith has won international renown for his quietly humorous work, which often plays with the viewer’s narrative expectations, and involves subtle political critique. A programme of eight short films, selected from an extensive production and spanning 40 years of his career, is on show at CAST until Saturday 3 October. The screening space is open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday, admission is free and there is no need to book.
