Mad Song play a wide-ranging programme of music from the last 40 years culminating in Grisey's epic Talea.

Mad Song perform a characteristically varied programme of music from the last 40 years. The programme opens with Thomas Metcalf's Photogenia, specially written for the ensemble, and Jean-Louis Agobet's Eclisses.The second half of the concert then treads more familiar ground with two pieces drawing on ancient sources. Epigrams, a piano trio by the American composer Elliot Carter, is modelled on the ancient Greek literary form.
