Join Us for a Screening of De Humani Corporis Fabrica on Tuesday, 5 March, at St. Luke’s Chapel. This immersive documentary, which premiered in the Directors' Fortnight at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, offers a visceral exploration of the human body, merging art, science, and philosophy in a way that redefines visual anthropology.The screening will be followed by a special Q&A session with Prof. Lucien Castaing-Taylor, Harvard University Professor of Visual Arts and Director of the Sensory Ethnography Lab. As an acclaimed filmmaker, anthropologist, and leading figure in sensory ethnography, Castaing-Taylor will share insights into the making of this thought-provoking work, its thematic undertones, and its significance in both cinema and anthropology.
