Where are the nearest toilets?

At Kildale Station, 1.5 miles away. Easily accessible by car.

Question 2

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

You can park on the grass verges up the hill from Percy Rigg Farm. Care must be taken to keep the access route open at all times.

Question 3

What about breaks and lunchtime?

Tees Archaeology will provide regular breaks with hot drinks and Scooby snacks. Please bring your own lunch.

Question 4

What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

Please make sure to wear sturdy boots and warm clothing with waterproofs. It is winter and the weather will be cold and possibly damp.

Question 5

What will happen if the weather is inclement?

Accepted Answer

Given that it is winter, the day may occasionally need to be changed or the event cancelled. This would occur if there were a blanket of snow or thick fog. You would be informed by email, preferably the night before, but in case of unexpected weather, by 8am on the morning of the event.

Question 6

What happens if the weather deteriorates while we are out on the Moor?

In the first instance, we will take shelter in cars. If the situation does not improve, we will abandon the work for the day and return home.
