FREE introductory training on fundraising best practice, and funder priorities, including applying to the National Lottery Heritage Fund

<h4><strong><strong>Led by Heritage and Fundraising Consultant, Alice Yates</strong></strong><strong><strong>.</strong></strong></h4><h4><br></h4><p>This workshop is key for any group or organisation considering a building project and wishing to seek funding from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies such as the National Lottery Heritage Fund.</p><p><br></p><h4>Over 2 hours, we will explore:</h4><p>-Understanding the current funding context</p><p>-Understanding key heritage funders and their grant-giving priorities and processes; especially the National Lottery Heritage (the UK's largest funder of heritage)</p><p>-Exploring the importance of having a compelling, and justified, case for support</p><p>-Exploring the importance of community activities as part of a heritage project (and not just building works)</p><p>-Top tips for writing grant applications</p><p><br></p><p>Lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge. </p><p>Parking is available on site for a limited number of cars. </p><p>Closest Overground Station: Edmonton Green (5min walk).</p><p><br></p><p><em><em>Made possible with funding from the National Lotter Heritage Fund to All Saints church, Edmonton as part of the 'Reviving All Saints Edmonton' project.</em></em></p>

<h3>About Alice Yates</h3><p>Alice is an experienced heritage project fundraising consultant having delivered fundraising strategies for a number of charities, all caring for historic buildings, including, the Vivat Trust, London Historic Buildings Trust, Holy Sepulchre, as well as other churches across the Diocese of London. She also have practical experience of writing successful applications to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and a range of grant-giving Trusts and Foundations, including five recent successful bids to the Heritage Fund.</p>
