In case anyone was still in doubt, the last few months have seen unprecedented debate about HE entry qualifications . Navigating this space has been trickier than ever and we&#x27;ve more to come before any new normal becomes apparent.Helen Thorne MBE, Independent HE consultant – and until very recently the Director of External Relations at UCAS – will guide us through the changing nature of entry requirements and university offers, and potential implications for admissions reforms.Helen will be joined by Dennis Sherwood of SilverBullet Machine, an acclaimed commentator on qualifications and predicted grades, who has also been tracking the story of this year’s school exams for HEPI.Our panel of experts – including Jon Adamson, Head of Sixth Form at Oakgrove School and Jude Brereton, engineering Undergraduate Admissions Tutor, University of York – will then discuss entry qualifications in the context of engineering and this year&#x27;s phenomena. We are sure to touch upon the summer&#x27;s results, offer making, the accuracy of predicted grades and PQA.The discussion will be chaired by Steve Bullock, University of Bristol and member of the EPC Recruitment and Admissions Committee.This webcast will be useful for all staff involved in recruitment and admissions in any engineering discipline – from early career staff through lecturers and researchers to department heads, deans of faculties, PVCs and VCs – anyone with an interest in recruitment and admissions who wishes to stay on top of the unprecedented recruitment and admissions climate and develop their practice. This event is free to academic staff working in member institutions of the Engineering Professors’ Council. Non-members are invited to attend for a modest fee of £29.
