Practice Nurse Wound Management Forum

The Surrey Training Hub is a local partnership supporting the development and transformation of the primary and community care workforce through education and training across the Surrey Heartlands footprint. It is a model developed by Health Education England and rolled out nationally in order to better support the local development of the health workforce.We aim to attract, develop, support and retain our health and social care professionals working across primary and community settings (GP surgeries, community clinics, care homes etc) throughout the Training Hub footprint to ensure that through education and skills development our patients will benefit from high quality care and services.

Our new virtual wound management forum is open to all practice nurses and others in Primary Care who are involved with wound management.

Welcome to our new virtual wound management forum, open to all practice nurses and other health care professionals in Primary Care, involved with wound management. We aim to meet 3 times a year to keep up to date with best practice in wound care. Plus at each forum we aim to look at a wound case study from any nurse who would like advice, help or just an opportunity to learn from others. The Community Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist will be available to provide input and advice at the forum so a good opportunity to get your wound management questions answered.Topics:<ul><li>Implementing the National Wound Care Strategy in your practice</li><li>Leg Ulcer case study</li></ul> Delivery and delegate interactivity:This session will be virtual via MS Teams, and you will receive the link prior to the event.Due to cyber security, please register with your NHS email, if you don't then unfortunately your place will be cancelled.Terms &amp; ConditionsPLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE MAY RECORD SOME OF THE SESSIONS AND PICTURES MAY BE TAKEN DURING THE TRAINING TO PROMOTE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE TRAINING HUB WEBSITE.IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY TO HAVE YOUR PHOTO TAKEN, PLEASE INFORM THE FACILITATOR BY USING THE CHAT FUNCTION OR VERBALLY, YOU CAN THEN TURN YOUR CAMERA OFF.<ul><li>Spaces are only for NHS employees in member practices within Surrey Heartlands ICB, your place will be cancelled if you are not.</li><li>Charges will apply if the person attending does not work in Surrey Heartlands ICB.</li><li>Spaces must be booked under the name &amp; contact details of the person attending. Multiple bookings made under the same details may be subject to cancellation.</li><li>Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours’ prior to the course date.</li><li>Non-attendance or failure to cancel may result in a charge of up to £96 (this may be higher for certain courses). Failure to cancel and non-attendance also means that those on the waiting list are unable to be offered this place.</li></ul>
