<h2>Half Term Activities</h2>We’re delighted to announce that our popular holiday family science activities are starting again this October half term for children aged 5–11 and their families. We’ll be offering a range of hands-on experiments and making activities focusing on Chemistry and the amazing Molecular Science Research Hub in White City!<h2>Atoms and Art!</h2>Join Artist Geraldine Cox in this introduction to the tiny particles that make up the world. You will be Zoomed in live to a laboratory where physicists are working with small numbers of atoms at temperatures colder than outer space, learn about the origins, size and make-up of atoms, and then make print artworks to share what you have learnt. Your creations will be assembled into a poster-book which will be sent to you after the event! Developed for families aged 5 – 11 this is a free workshop that allows you to explore science together in a fun and creative way. If changes in circumstances mean that face to face is impossible to run, we will run online sessions.This activity is open to residents living North of LBHF and North Kensington.There will be a demonstration at the start of the workshop, so it is important that you arrive on time for your session.These sessions will be run in a socially distanced way. You only need to book one ticket for your entire group which can contain up to six people.
