Our May Network Meeting celebrates the Welsh Language, where we'll hear about recent successes in Welsh-Language projects from across Wales.

Thursday 22nd May10am - 11.30am Join us to learn more from Sandy Clubb, Wellbeing of Future Generations Officer share recommendations around Culture and Welsh language, in the context of arts and health. At the recent 10th anniversary action summit, <a href="https://futuregenerations.wales/" title="https://futuregenerations.wales/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the Wellbeing of Future Generations Commissioner</a> called for more cross-sectoral action to accelerate change and ensure a thriving future for Welsh culture and language. He also called for a Culture Bill to prioritize and better resource the arts in Wales and encouraged more public involvement in shaping policies and building trust in decision-making. <a href="https://futuregenerations.wales/discover/about-future-generations-commissioner/future-generations-report-2025/" title="https://futuregenerations.wales/discover/about-future-generations-commissioner/future-generations-report-2025/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Future Generations Report 2025</a> highlights the importance of arts and culture in promoting health and well-being in Wales. The commissioner has emphasized that culture is in crisis and that the arts are not just a luxury but vital to people's well-being. Alongside Sandy, we will hear from a range of Welsh language arts, health and wellbeing cross sector projects in Wales who are delivering on the Culture and Welsh language goals. Song and a CuppaCanolfan Gerdd William Mathias and Denbighshire Leisure’s Welsh medium and bilingual singing for wellbeing sessions in community and care settings delivered by Music Therapist Ceri Wyn Rawson.Ar Y DibynSince 2019, Ar y Dibyn, led by Theatr Cymru, has offered almost 200 sessions through the medium of Welsh to those affected by addiction, via creative workshops, creative outputs and support and mentoring a team of Artists in order to grow the project. Iola Ynyr, the founder of the project, and Alaw Griffiths, who started as a participant and is now an Artist on the project, will share their experiences and discuss successes and challenges, hopes for the future and give an insight into the working methods, through collaboration with counsellors and translators, that ensure that the space is safe and inclusive. - Dydd Iau 22nd Mis Mai10am-11.30am Ymunwch â ni i glywed mwy gan Sandy Clubb, Swyddog Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol, sy’n rhannu argymhellion ynghylch Diwylliant a’r Gymraeg yng nghyd-destun y celfyddydau ac iechyd. Galwodd hefyd am Fil Diwylliant i flaenoriaethu a sicrhau gwell anodau i’r celfyddydau yng Nghymru gan annog mwy o ymwneud gan y cyhoedd â ffurfio polisïau a meithrin ymddiriedaeth wrth wneud penderfyniadau. Mae’r comisiynydd wedi tanlinellu bod diwylliant mewn argyfwng ac nad moethusrwydd yw’r celfyddydau, ond rhywbeth sy’n hanfodol i lesiant pobl. Ynghyd â Sandy, byddwn yn clywed gan amrywiol brosiectau traws-sector Cymraeg yn y celfyddydau, iechyd a llesiant yng Nghymru sy’n cyflawni’r nodau o ran Diwylliant a’r Gymraeg. Paned a ChânSesiynau canu er lles iaith Gymraeg a dwyieithog Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias a Hamdden Sir Ddinbych mewn lleoliadau cymunedol a lleoliadau gofal o dan arweiniad y therapydd cerdd Ceri Wyn Rawson.Ar Y DibynErs 2019, mae prosiect Ar y Dibyn, wedi ei arwain gan Theatr Cymru, wedi cynnig bron i 200 o sesiynau drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg gyda phobl sydd wedi'u heffeithio gan ddibyniaeth, drwy gynnal gweithdai creadigol, creu cynnyrch creadigol a chefnogi a mentora tim o artistiaid er mwyn ehangu'r prosiect. Bydd Iola Ynyr, sefydlydd y prosiect, ac Alaw Griffiths, a gychwynnodd fel cyfranogydd ac sydd bellach yn Artist ar y prosiect, yn rhannu eu profiadau drwy drafod y llwyddiannau, heriau, gobeithion i’r dyfodol, ac yn rhoi cipolwg ar ddulliau sy’n sicrhau bod y gofod, drwy gydweithio a chwnselwyr a chyfieithwyr, yn un saff a chynhwysol.
