We are excited to bring you this workshop on An Introduction to Trustee Finance Duties with Embrace Finance

Do you understand your responsibilities when it comes to your charity’s finances? This practical 2-hour session will introduce the core finance duties so that you can start to build firm foundations when it comes to fulfilling your role effectively. We’ll cover:<ul><li>Protecting the Money: Safeguarding funds and ensuring financial integrity.</li><li>Managing Payments to Trustees: Understanding the rules around trustee payments and avoiding conflicts of interest.</li><li>Keeping Financial Records: Staying compliant by maintaining accurate and transparent records.</li><li>Knowing the Financial Position: Gaining a clear picture of your charity’s financial health.</li><li>Managing Financial Difficulties Promptly: Identifying and addressing challenges before they escalate.</li></ul> Whether you’re new to the role or need a refresher, this training is a must for any trustee committed to fulfiling their duties and building longer term financial resilience of their charity.What you can expect:<ul><li>Clear and practical guidance tailored to small charities.</li><li>Real-world examples and tools you can apply immediately.</li><li>A supportive environment to ask questions and share experiences.</li></ul> This session is led by Liz Pepler, Founder at Embrace Finance, an experienced charity finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in the sector. This is suitable for employed staff or trustees who are managing the finances of a charity or social enterprise with an income up to £1m. Each workshop has 25 places offered on a strictly first come first served basis so, to ensure a place, make sure to book a ticket as soon as possible. Places are charged at £10* for The Fore grantees and at £17* for all other attendees.*Ticket prices listed are exclusive of Eventbrite fees. The Fore’s workshops are run by trusted partner organisations and facilitators (third parties).
