What should I bring?

Warm clothes (layers are good for this time of year), towel or yoga matt to sit on as sand is quite chilly this time of year; water, hot drink, water bottle (optional), swimming gear if you fancy a cold water swim afterwards.

Is there parking?

Yes. There is a pay and display car park at Branksome Chine Beach, as well as on street parking on neighbouring roads.

What is conscious dance?

Accepted Answer

Conscious Dance is an embodied practice of movement and free flowing dance that integrates emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. We embark on a movement journey allowing moments of gentle flow, natural rhythm, release, elation, stillness and reflection.

Question 4

How many silent disco headphones do you have available?

Accepted Answer

We have 30 silent revolution headsets available. One has a mic so you can hear our facilitators clearly. The range is approximately 100m to 300m so you can have quite a wide radius to dance on the beach.

Question 5

Will I get a refund if the event is cancelled?

Accepted Answer

We do offer refunds if the event is cancelled due to the weather.  Please note, however, that Eventbrite do not refund their fee.  You will only receive the full cost of the SunFIre dance ticket price.  Alternatively, you may transfer your ticket to another future Beach Dance event.

Why are you charging for these events?

Accepted Answer

The Council charge us to hold our silent dance beach events and we need to be able to cover their costs, as well as cover our expenses for equipment and facilitators fees. Your ticket purchase contributes to the hire of the beach, insurance, equipment and running costs; and is very much appreciated.

Question 7

Can I bring my dog with me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, during the Winter months dogs are allowed on this side of the beach and many of our dancers bring their dogs with them.  The headphones have quite a range so if you need to walk your dog, you can still listen to the music while you dance and take your dog for a dance along the beach.
