Hey! I am D﻿anielle and trained to become an integrative counsellor after working for over 8 years in social care and public health settings.I have a relational and organic approach to client work and the same can be said for my workshops facilitated for fellow therapists. Creating relaxed learning environments is my focus, simply because we are more open and willing to learn and connect when we feel at ease. Many counselling courses provide limited training on safeguarding and risk management, yet therapists are often required to make judgement calls about a client’s risk to themselves or others.This can feel daunting, especially for those in private practice where decision-making can feel isolating.This workshop is designed to reduce that anxiety by equipping you with both practical clinical tools and creative approaches to enhance your confidence when working with client risk. In a laid-back and supportive space, we’ll explore ways to make risk assessment feel more manageable, building on skills you already have and offering simple, effective tools that you can immediately integrate into your work.This session encourages open discussion, so bring your ‘silly’ questions and your real-world challenges as we explore ways to navigate risk with clarity and care. <h3>Who is this workshop for?</h3><ul><li>Trainee practitioners working with clients in placement.</li><li>Newly qualified therapists establishing a private practice.</li><li>Experienced practitioners looking to refresh or expand their risk management skills.</li><li>This workshop focuses on working with adult clients.</li></ul> <h3>About Your Facilitator</h3>Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade working with 'high-risk and vulnerable' clients in a number of settings. Settings include custodial care, drug and alcohol services, children’s social care, Youth Offending and Forensic CAMHS.
