A webinar for museums and galleries looking to make their digital materials and events accessible to the 18 million deaf people in the UK.

In this one-hour webinar, Oliver Webster, Head of Systems and Services at Stagetext, will present how to make your online resources and events accessible to deaf audiences.In this webinar you will learn:<ul><li>The basics of deaf awareness</li></ul><ul><li>What “end-to-end accessibility” is, and why it’s important when considering your visitors' digital journey</li></ul><ul><li>The different access provisions available to you and the pros and cons of each</li></ul> Oliver will share data-driven insights and personal experiences from deaf visitors to highlight the importance of these practices. The webinar will end with a Q&A to address any questions you may have. <h2>When is it happening and where?</h2>This webinar takes place on Thursday 15 May, at 2 pm and will be hosted on Zoom. <h2>What level is it?</h2>BeginnerThis webinar will be useful for anyone looking to improve their deaf accessibility and grow their deaf audience. <h2>Accessibility</h2>Live captions and BSL interpretation will be provided for this webinar. You will receive a copy of the presentation slides in advance. Free places are available for anyone who works with or for a publicly funded arts and cultural organisation and for those currently in receipt of or usually eligible for Arts Council funding. <h2>Can I ask questions?</h2>Yes, and we actively encourage it to shape the content.
