Community Chef offers community food consultancy, cookery training, cookery classes, cookery workshops and cookery demonstrations in a variety of settings, working with schools, community groups, charities, health and government organizations as well as ethical businesses.We also provide delicious, healthy catering for corporate, private and community functions and have a state of the art smoothie bike which is available for workshops and public eventsCommunity Chef is a socially focused business which directly supports a sustainable food system by using and promoting local food, independent food producers and retailers, organic agriculture, community food co-operatives and self-sufficiency.

Community Chef - Good Food for All

Join us for a community feast  prepared by cooks from across the globe followed by a concert from Gambian kora superstar  Ansu Susso

All Saints Centre

Human beings have always cooked, eaten and enjoyed music together communally.​In a world where food ​and music has become increasingly transactional and moneterised, we are delighted to be able to host a feast and concert that will bring people from diverse cultures ​together to share food and enjoy music and in so doing, to encourage cohesive and healthy communities.We will be serving a sumptuous feeast prepared by cooks from across the globe who now live locally. The menu will feature dishes from Gambia, South Africa, Brazil, Ukraine and Syria. The feast will be vegetarian and gluten free and vegan options will be available.After the feast, Gambian kora superstar, Ansumana Susso and his band will perform traditional and contemporty music from West Africa, with DJ support from Santi SartoriousWe are asking for a donation of £10 per place for adults and £5 for children, but this is at your discretion. If you would like a free place please contact office@communitychef.org.uk for a voucher code.We are pleased to be hosting this event with our friends at Diversity Lewes and Culture Cionnect CICThis has been kindly supported by Lewes Town Council, the Lewes District Food Partnership and the National Lottery.
