For the last six weeks, our team of archaeologists has been investigating the ruins of an unusual Roman town at East Park, on the outskirts of Sedgefield. We want to invite you guys to meet our team, hear about our discoveries, and find out what it's been like to excavate this extraordinary site.

About this dig site

This dig is one of a series that we're doing for Discover Brightwater to help revitalise the history, heritage, and landscape along the River Skerne.
