We have some exciting news to share with you about the future of our Civil Service South West & Wales Learning & Development network.

What is happening?

Firstly we would like to introduce your new co-chairs of the network; Vicky Howard, Jacqui Donnelly and Nick Curry. We are all looking forward to working and learning alongside you. As the network matures we will be planning exciting events that will help us shape and influence the workplace learning and development communities.

Over time the product we once knew as Learning & Development has completely transformed across the Civil Service, we also need to ensure our Networks move forward and adapt to this transformation and focus on these new strands, which will support the Development and Talent of our Future Civil Servants. In recognition of this transformation, from December 2020 the L&D Network will be rebranded to become the CS Local South West & Wales Talent Network, and to celebrate the relaunch of your Network, we would like to invite you to be part of this exciting change.

What should I expect next?

- Talent Network relaunch event will take place in December - Guests will have opportunity to hear from a guest speaker and Network through Coffi Morning sessions. This is a great way to network and talk to colleagues in different departments who have and L and D interest.

- We will be sending out a CS Local relaunch blog through our CS Local Blog - to encourage new membership to the network. As an existing member of the network if you would like to join you will need to register for this event using Eventbrite

- During the launch we will familiarise everyone with the Talent Networks terms of reference whilst making the opportunity to see the forward look/plan for the network, this will be your network and such believe you should play a key part as a Network Member.

What would my role be?

As a group, you will work together on common learning and development themes, sharing resources and experiences along with any lessons learned along the way. You will establish how the Civil Service can deliver the best possible talent offers across government by working collaboratively as one organisation, maximising the use of technology to enable us to do this effectively. We will meet virtually bi-monthly.
