Welcome to the event: Celebrating Hispanic Collections at University of GlasgowDate: 1/5/25Time: 13.00-17.00Location: Hunterian Art Gallery Lecture Theatre (Room 103)The University of Glasgow is home to a broad and rich range of Hispanic collections: from artwork and coins in the Hunterian, to Golden Age Spanish plays and first editions of Cervantes’ Don Quixote in Archives &amp; Special Collections. These collections have now been strengthened further with the bequest of 350 Spanish early printed books from the library of Professor Don Cruickshank (1942-2021), a world-leading expert on Calderón.Organised by the College of Arts &amp; Humanities’ <a href="https://www.gla.ac.uk/colleges/arts/research/artslab/ourlabs/collections/" title="https://www.gla.ac.uk/colleges/arts/research/artslab/ourlabs/collections/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Collections Lab</a>, this symposium will offer short talks by researchers and collection experts on a range of the Hispanic collections across the University.
